SoulCollage®, The Paper Crucible

Welcome to The Paper Crucible, where we are dedicated to personal transformation through the use of SoulCollage® and Journal Writing.

Just as the conventional crucible is used in the transformation of materials through the application of extremely high temperatures, SoulCollage® as a "paper crucible" is a powerful, yet playful tool for your personal and spiritual examination, change, and healing.

Have you ever wondered why certain colors, shapes and images draw your attention and make your heart sing, while others don’t? A creative language of symbols, dreams and archetypes, SoulCollage® is an artistic process of cutting, tearing and pasting your way into self-exploration and excavation of your hidden potential.

Learn the transformative power of imagination and intuition. With guidance from SoulCollage® Facilitator, Sandra Nelson, you will be inspired to create a deck of collaged cards as a visual journal of your life.

"Here, at The Paper Crucible, I believe creativity feeds the soul, and an unfed soul eventually starves. Creativity comes in many more venues than painting, sculpting, or writing. In the more mundane world, one is creative when organizing a fundraiser, cooking a meal using leftovers from the night before, or cleaning the garage to park the car.

"While many go through each day with blinders on, I encourage you to be drawn to life’s details: the color and texture of a rock, the changing temperature, scents and sounds as the earth wakens to a glorious sunrise, the clicking of wings as wild geese take to flight.

"I have found SoulCollage® to be a gateway to embracing the sights, sounds and textures of not just my outer life, but my inner life as well. Simply gathering and gluing a variety of images to small cards has allowed me to acknowledge the many aspects of the self.

"Before becoming a facilitator, I introduced close friends to SoulCollage® by recommending, “SoulCollage” by Seena B. Frost, and by sharing cards I created. The response was overwhelming as stories and personal insights were revealed. Now as a facilitator, I offer both public and private SoulCollage® Retreats in the Houston, Texas area."
